Schweizer 300C

The Schweizer 300C is a widely used training helicopter that built on the Hughes platform developed by Hughes Aircraft after acquisition by Schweizer in 1986. With greater fuel capacity and speed capabilities compared to the previous 269A model helicopter, the Schweizer 300C also boasts a more complete instrument panel and significantly better performance, making it a helicopter that can serve as both a training platform as well as a workhorse for nearly any mission requirement.

We feature two Schweizer 300C helicopters in our fleet, and one of these machines is a fully-IFR capable and certified aircraft (with the Garmin 430 and a full ILS package) in which we are able to provide full training toward the Instrument Rating for those students interested in pursuing a broader set of capabilities as a helicopter pilot.

Hughes MD500D

The Hughes MD500 began as a military helicopter designed for "light observation" and was initially designated the "OH-6 Cayuse" by the US Army. The "D" model first came into existence in 1976 adding more power and a 5-blade main rotor and T-Tail configuration. With a service ceiling above 16,000 feet, the MD500 has a wide range of mission capabilities, and whether you are using it as a turbine transition helicopter or if you are utilizing it for commercial patrol operations, the MD500 offers unsurpassed reliability, performance, and comfort for your helicopter needs.
